Aweber Email Parser

January 6, 2010 by DAP Admin 29 Comments

WooHoo! Aweber has finally finished a custom email parser for DigitalAccessPass, I’ve tested it and it works great!

This is going to make Aweber integration as simple as just adding “yourlist@aweber.com” to the “3rd Party Notification Email Id” field on your “Product” page in DAP. That’s it! 5-second integration. No more will you need to do any of this!

But, before it shows up on the list of global parsers, and in fact for it to even show on the list of global parsers in your Aweber account, I need your help asap.

Please visit Aweber.com, open a ticket, and tell them something to the effect of…

“Hi Aweber Support,

I want the custom parser “DigitalAccessPass.com” to be added to my Aweber account.

This parser is currently available in Aweber account plugandplay owned by Ravi Jayagopal

Here’s my Aweber login: _______

Here’s my Aweber password: _______

Thanks!

– Your Name”

That’s it.

Once they have at least 10 people request this, then the Custom DigitalAccessPass.com Parser will then be added to the global list of Email Parsers, and it will be available to everyone. And no one else will have to send these guys the above email any more. Probably just the first 10.

But I do need your help to send this email to them asap.

Feel free to comment below if you have any questions.

Thanks!

– Ravi Jayagopal

I am currently using the built in email system in DAP. I am curious however how many folks do that as well vs using Aweber and what their reasoning is.

    Thanks

[Thanks Bob. Someone else reported that too.]

All, I’ve updated the above post to say “Open a ticket at Aweber.com”. The email id they gave me (specifically to give it to you guys) apparently doesn’t even exist!

    Oh well… 🙂

And thanks to everyone here who has done this already. Really appreciate your help folks!

If enabled, what will then be the sequence of events?

After purchase, will the buyer be directed first to the AWeber form, or first to the DAP Thank-You email? Just wondering about this. Thanks! Always great new updates here at DAP!

    Hey Ravi,

I would but I use Auto Response Plus. I do a lot of hard coding and have no problem integrating ARP. But, if you ever need the same for ARP, I’ll do it. Just curious if there is even any demand for this? Anyway, DAP is an awesome and thanks for developing such a great product!

    Mark,

Here’s what will happen after the updates:

    1) Doesn’t matter if your DAP Product is single-optin or double-optin. You can still add users who get added to the product, to your aweber list.

    2) Just take the Aweber list email id (yourlist@aweber.com), and put it in the “3rd Party Notification” field in your Product page. That’s it!

    3) So any time anyone buys (or you give them) access to that product, even if the product is set as single-optin, then the user AUTOMATICALLY gets added to the Aweber list.

So Aweber/DAP integration will take about 5 seconds. No, really! 🙂

    Maryleena,

Thank you for your kind words 🙂

I’m hoping they process all of the tickets quickly and put DAP on the global parser list.

Life will be a lot smoother once they do 🙂

Ravi, I’d help but I left Aweber last year for SendPepper. I’ll ask you publicly to put http://www.sendpepper.com/255.html (OfficeAutoPilot) on your To Do list for integration. 🙂

They work with Traffic Geyser for easy integration and I think they’d do the same with you. They offer a lot more than Aweber and are less expensive and easier to work with than their big competitor (Infus…).

Just got a response from aWeber. They said they need to create a custom parser for each list at $149?

    I don’t use Aweber.

Is the same functionality for Getrespone planned?

    Hey, Ravi!

Unfortunately, I just ditched Aweber in favor of its 1st competitor iContact which is 50% cheaper and offers great automation possibilites as well.

Nonetheless, DAP is an awesome product and it’s getting more so every week! Same with all your products, btw 🙂

Thanks to you, I don’t have to program every little thing line by line anymore. Saves me heaps of time that I can now use to build my business.

    Cheers,
    Bass
