* [NEW] Product Chaining
* [NEW] (New Config Field) SECRET_KEY: Secret Authorization Key used when interfacing with external systems
* [NEW] (New Config Field) SHOW_COMMENTS: Show comments on protected WP content
* [NEW] (New Config Field) DEFAULT_AFF_LANDING: URL of default landing page for Affiliate links (when not redirected). Default: / (home page)
* [NEW] (New Config Field) DEFAULT_PASSWORD: This gives you the ability to generate a “Default Password” – like ‘dap’ – for all new users. Which means, if you have say, integrated Aweber or an external email system with DAP, now you can send out the welcome email along with the password (simply use the same default password into your Aweber email as the one you have set in DAP Config, that’s it!). You could even bring the user back to your login page and say something to the effect of “Please use the email address you just used during purchase, and the password ‘changethis’ to log into your account right away! Just be sure to change your password soon after logging in.”
* [NEW] DAP will no longer allow deliberate or unintentional deletion of admin users. You must change their account type to “User” (from “Admin”) first before you can delete the user.
* [NEW] 1-Click Delete-All functionality to delete all protected content in a Product
* [NEW] Warning presented and asks for confirmation when you click on “Delete Product” (even though DAP already won’t delete a product if there is even 1 user associated with a Product. Just another confirmation in addition to what was there before).
* [NEW] Display of User Links (sorting order): Within a given day, if you have multiple links dripping (say, on day 1 itself you have multiple links), then they will show up on the “User links” page in the exact same order in which it shows up on the Products page.
* [NEW] DAP Logs displays only 1000 rows now
* [NEW] Content URL field length increased from 100 to 200
* [NEW] Affiliate Info Page now fits well even into narrow themes.
* [NEW] Logout link in DAP Dashboard (under “My Account”)
* [NEW] When you add a blog post/page to a Product, it retrieves the post/page’s title, and the page title is what your member will see in the “Links” section of a product.
* [NEW] Product Specific Logged-in URL
* [NEW] dap/inc/content/userfacing.css – can be customized by renaming it customuserfacing.css
* [NEW] Ability to completely customize CSS of User-facing pages – like affiliate links, user links and user profile
* [NEW] List of Affiliate Link Referrers are now in a scrollable div so as to save real estate
* [NEW] WP Widget to show Products Purchased on sidebar
* [NEW] New merge code %%PRODUCT_DETAILS_<id>%% to show Product-specific Links on a page
* [FIXED] LiveLinks: Last name merge tag wasn’t functional.

Product chaining is key for me – I want to be able to get free members on to a paid membership and have them moved from one email list to the next.
Just to check, when would my next paid upgrade be? V.4.0 of DAP?

These new changes sounds really good.
Just to throw in my 10 cents, I would like to see DAP have the ability to organize files inside the protected files area in either alphabetical order or numerical order.
I have 48 files which are being drip feed over 6 month.
It is a home study course which need to be consumed in the right order.
The files are named so they start with 001, 002, 003… and so forth. It comes up nicely organized inside the file manager on my hosting account, but when I load them up into the protected file area inside DAP they get all mixed up and out of sequence, which means when I come to set the individual drip feed it doesn’t give me an easy organized overview. Hope this will be addressed in a future upgrade.
It is good to see all the protected files can now be deleted with one click.
The best part of this upgrade is the userfacing.css which was not possible with earlier version and caused a lot of headache trying to make the user profile and members area look presentable with Thesis.
Getting ready to add DAP to a new site. Just purchased. Would love to start withthe best and be part of your test group.

WP Widget to show Products Purchased on sidebar looks interesting but why not showing in the same widget how many days until the next post/page/article will be unlocked?
In the prospect mind will be very difficult to cancel the membership if he sees “hello ravi, in 3 days you will get access to the next module of the “how to juggling cat in 30 minutes a day”
@Marc – That’s a great idea regarding informing # days before next module gets unlocked! I like it b/c it sets the EXPECTATION for current members of what MORE they get when they CONTINUE their membership…
Who knows, for the “eager”, you could even set up an incentive to unlock the module sooner (there are eager high achievers out there!)

I’m so glad you’ve got a nicer solution for using aweber. I’d actually just asked my programmer to modify the dap-aweber.php file today.

BTW speaking of requests there’s a thing i would really love to see in the coming dap releases and it’s the drpping content destination.
Let me explain, at the moment when you add content to a product your only choice is to show the content on the user’s homepage or not. I would LOVE being able to drip content on other pages and why not also in the sidebar.
Let’s say you have platinum membership and diamond membership. I would like to have only one link from the homepage pointing to mysite.com/platinum page and then drip platinum content in this page.
Do you think something of this kind could be obtained with DAP?
This level of flexibility would be amazing!

The site you’ve been looking at a little for me which we hope to launch soon will require product chaining – as we’ll have free memberships who we’ll want to upgrade to paid memberships – therefore need to move people off one email list to the next.

They enabled curl and fsockopen as Ravi suggested, and now my site is down. Help!!

I added these lines to my php.ini and it fixed the issue:
extension=pdo.so
extension=pdo_mysql.so
I was just wondering if there is an estimated time for a public beta / final release date for DAP 3.8 and LL 1.3? While I can install beta products on my production site, I really prefer they are flushed out first and I am eagerly awaiting the ability to turn comments back on again!

I am late to the party because my house was hit by lightning and my hard drive crashed. Living in the middle of nowhere, it took me a while to get a replacement hard drive delivered!
