Editing a User’s Details

Go to “DAP Admin > Users > Manage” screen.

Search for the user whose details you wish to edit by email, first name, last name or user id.

(NOTE: If you simply hit “Search” on this screen without changing any of the search parameters, then all users in the system will be displayed below)

In the search results, the User Id and Name of every user is a link, and clicking on this link will take you to the “DAP Admin > Users > Add” screen, where you edit the user’s profile information.

You can change modify any of the user’s information here, including the password.

If I have more than 1 user entry for the same person and I permantely delete the one I don’t want, it deletes both!

Is there a way to just delete 1 entry?

The delete operation deletes all entries for a user.
If you want to remove a specific user->product association, click on the ‘Remove’ link under Product Access in the DAP Manage Users page.

Can I add any custom fields in the User Info section?
For example a place where a User can enter their Social Security Number for tax reporting purposes for the Affiliate Program Module, or a place for them to choose if they’d like to get paid through PayPal or by check and (if by check) to what name, etc.

Thank you!

Salvador,
No, you cannot add any custom field to the user info section. In DAP 4.1 or 4.2, we will allow the users the ability to add any custom field but that feature is not there now.

My question is the same as Salvador. Can I add custom fields in the User Info section in DAP 4.1?

Veena, I have situation where one user bought subscription to vBulletin forum on girlfriends credit card. He want to change her data into his (name and e-mail mainly).

If I change user name and e-mail address, how does that affect next Paypal reccuring payment? Does Paypal know which credit card to charge or it looses track of user since main identity data is changed?

Daya,

The user can change name and email as long as they make sure the paypal email in their dap profile points to the their paypal email address. DAP will know to connect the recurring payment to the right account as long as the paypal email is set correctly.

If I understand correctly, he must NOT change the girlfriends email address in DAP profile – since there is only one email address inside profile and it is connected to Paypal?

Oops, there are 2 email fields inside profile, one of them is Paypal email field, I can see now.

However I’m wondering why everyone of my members have Paypal email field empty. They’ve paid for sure. Is this ok?

>>However Im wondering why everyone of my members have Paypal email field empty. Theyve paid for sure. Is this ok? << What version of dap are you on? You need to be on dap 4.2.1.
