GetResponse Integration

DAP integrates with GetResponse very easily.

DAP to GetResponse Integration

If you are on DAP 4.1, then DAP can connect with getresponse using the APIs provided by getresponse.

So when someone buys or signs up for that Product, then DAP will automatically notify your GetResponse list, and add the buyer or subscriber (if it’s a free sign-up) to your GetResponse list.

So basically, user gets added to DAP first, and then DAP adds them to GetResponse.

If you want the other flow (subscriber gets added to GR first, and then GR adds them to DAP, then see this GetResponse-to-DAP flow)

1) Retrieve the getresponse API Key from this URL:

http://www.getresponse.com/my_api_key.html

2) Then go to DAP > Products > Manage, select the product, go to “Notificationstab, then in the Plugin Notification upon User “Add” field, add the following:

getresponse:<API Key>:<campaign name>

For example:

getresponse:89kjhjgjfh1734dap:fbsecrets

That’s it.

Now go to DAP admin -> add users page and add a brand new user / email and see what happens.

The added user should first receive the confirmation email from GetResponse, and upon confirmation, the user should get added to GetResponse.

If it does not work, then…

  • Set the dap log level to 5,
  • Go to DAP > System > Logs.
  • Empty logs, and rerun the test.
  • Then send us the log text from DAP > Sytem > Logs.

What if you only have DAP version 4.0? Where do you put the API key?

Not supported in DAP 4.0. You need to be on DAP 4.1 or 4.2 to use this.

Ok… So how can I integrate Get Response into DAP 4.0? I have the campaing from GR set into the 3rdt paty section of the product I want to integrate. I’ve already checked that there’s a message in GR and the campaign is spelled correctly.

>>So how can I integrate Get Response into DAP 4.0? << You will have to upgrade to 4.1. The 3rd party notification will likely not work with GetResponse as GR does not support it like Aweber does.

Martin,

>>In my getresponse, I have many campaign list, by integrating DAP to Getresponse, how does I know where the user (for free product) is inserted into the campaign (which campaign). < < In the dap products -> email notification tab -> Plugin Notify section, you need to enter the getresponse campaign name to which you want the users of that product to be added to.

Format:
getresponse::

For ex –
getresponse:89kjhjgjfhgf76ikghkgk:MYCOMP

Hi, so how does Getresponse know which login name and password to send to the subscriber?

Reply
Veena Prashanth - September 11, 2012

Hi Hugo,

Password does not get sent to GR.

You will have to send the welcome email with the password from dap.

Plugin Notification upon User “Add” and insered exapmle: getresponse:89kjhjgjfhgf76ikghkgk:campaignnumber

Inserted new user manually and I have received verification link form DAP, but not from GetResponse. (middle long # was my API). would you know why it didn’t work?
New user wasn’t registered in GR.
The form on the site is from GR not DAP

Pavel,

>>Inserted new user manually and I have received verification link form DAP, but not from GetResponse. (middle long # was my API). would you know why it didn’t work? < < If you added a new user that didnot already exist in dap, then the user should get added to GR. If not, pls set log level to 'log all activity', add a new user that does not exist in dap and GR, and send us the full log content from dap system->logs.

Hi Veena,
I have added a 2 new uses for the free product. From DAP came email with the verification link, on which I clicked. Then I have (new user) received activated account with the password. Nothing happened in GetResponse. Plugin for this free product Plugin Notification upon User “Add” getresponse:89kjhjgjfhgf76ikghkgk:campaignnumber

once I have used for: campaignnumber the number from GR form belonging to this campaign and second time I have used the campaign name. In either case nothing happened and no new user was recorder in GR. I had a look in dap system->logs, but the logs were empty and nothing was recorded. So, DAP Is working great (with exeption of logs) but integration is not. I have version: DAP v4.4.2

Hi there. I asked this question about 5 months ago in the forum but no one answered. I’m using sendreach.com for my autoresponder and would like to be able to integrate it with DAP.

There is an API key/App secret, is there a way to make this work or if not, are you able to add Send Reach to dap?

Thanks =)

Hi Russell,
>>There is an API key/App secret, is there a way to make this work or if not, are you able to add Send Reach to dap? << Sorry, not possible currently. In a future release, we will make the sendreach integration script part of dap download. But if you need to integrate Sendreach with dap now, you will have to use the dap plugin framework to custom develop/code the php class ( using the send reach APIs ) just the way we did with getresponse and mailchimp. Please see: http://www.digitalaccesspass.com/doc/dap-plugin-framework/

Thanks,
Veena

Hello,

I followed the instructions on the forum to integrate Getresponse->DAP and when I told the GetResponse support rep that I wanted to enable subscriber info forwarding, he asked me if I wanted to use the “Post” or “Get” method. Can you tell me which option I would need to choose in this case?

Hi Veena

Is there a possibility to notify two autoresponders (GR and AC) for the same product simultaneusly (So when a customers buys one product his mail is inserted in both autoresponders)

Hi Inaki,

>>Is there a possibility to notify two autoresponders (GR and AC) for the same product simultaneusly (So when a customers buys one product his mail is inserted in both autoresponders)< < Sure. You can add a comma-separated list of 'integration string' in the DAP products page => Notification tab => plugin notification text box.

Thanks,
Veena
