Customer Current Access Period, Early Payment Discounts and Customer Reminders

I believe that the access periods are a big upsell potential, but I'd like to suggest some enhancements that would make it really useful for me. Perhaps some of these are already available and I just don't know how to enable them.

    1) Ability to hide access period until a set period of time until expiration (say 30 days out). Then you can customize a message to the user like "You're current support and upgrades period expires in (30, 29, 28, 27, etc) days, to renew your membership today at a (30%, 29%, 28%, etc) discount, click here.

The countdown in days and discounts decreases by 1 each day until the expiration date.

    2) Access to controls to allow the user to click to pay and get a renewal. How does this work? Is it a manual process or can DAP automate it? If not as described above, how?

DAP supports dime sale / timed pricing where you can set the start date where the timed pricing becomes effective and after that date the price automatically goes up every configurable number of days or upon a configurable number of sales. It's at product level. But what you are asking for is for the price to change automatically at user level based on user's membership start/end day for a product and thats not currently possible. We will hopefully add this to dap in a future version.
