Another question to add to above

Since I haven't received a reply yet, may as well tack on another set of questions, these revolving around the cron e-mail handler.

    1. I assume people are subscribed to the list when they sign up for membership, purchase a product, or do some other action on the site. How do they unsubscribe? Is this automatic or a manual process?

    2. Is it possible to set up "manage account" or "unsubscribe links" in e-mail footers so that people can make changes to lists (like with e-mail services). Ok I know it's possible to add those links... simple coding... but how are they processed in the back end?

    Thanks,

    Maria

PS Please respond soon...I'd hate to have to choose a different program simply because of time constraints.

    Hi Maria,

    >> 1. I read your page on installing DAP on a html site (http://digitalaccesspass.com/documentation/) and it seems to kind of discourage that. I'm an experienced coder (html, css, php, aspx, and on and on) so I'm assuming I'll have no problems integrating it with my html sites. Can you confirm that? <<

Yes, you can install and use DAP on a html site. We have a lot more customization options for Wordpress... but we have a lot of users that use DAP on html sites successfully.

    >> 2. Can you give me a more complete list of what might "NOT" work when integrating DAP on a html site vs Wordpress? <<

Everything will work the same. If you use WP, you can use DAP merge tags for user links / user profile / affiliate info etc in a WP page and when a logged in user visits that page, the merge codes will automatically be replaced by the content that fits within the SITE / WP theme. If you use DAP on a HTML site, you can send the users to default dap home page - /dap/index.php which will have user's links / profile / aff stats etc. You can add your own header/footer to the static/default dap home page.

    >> 3. Can I integrate it with other CMS such as Joomla and Drupal (thinking ahead to some clients I have who may be interested in using DAP in the future)? <<
Not yet but we will expand DAP in future to work with other CMS.

    >> 4. I couldn't find any mention of your own affiliate program. Once I purchase the software do I automatically become a DAP affiliate? Where do I find information on that? <<
Yes, you will automatically become a dap affiliate and you can find your affiliate link / stats upon login to your membership area on our site.

    >> 5. Does DAP (or will it) integrate with Icontact or Constant Contact, two very popular e-mail services? If not then are there manual workarounds I can implement to make it work? <<
DAP will integrate with icontact in the next release of DAP.
    OR

You can use our very generic framework to integrate dap with icontact.

    >> I assume people are subscribed to the list when they sign up for membership, purchase a product, or do some other action on the site. How do they unsubscribe? Is this automatic or a manual process? <<

You need to unsubscribe manually within the payment processor but within DAP no action is needed. Users only get access to content they have paid for.. when no payment comes in, their access will automatically expire and they will automatically lose access.

DAP has merge tags for unsubscribe that you can send in the emails.
