Buying with Paypal w/ Web Payments Pro

    Hi,

I'm currently using DAP with Web Payments Pro. A number of customers have asked me if they could pay with Paypal, and strangely Paypal is not an option in the shopping cart for this.

I was wondering how to integrate an option to pay with Paypal, or if this was possible.

    Thanks.

We didnot integrate the paypal button in the checkout page because the dap cart supports 1-click upsells and you cannot do 1-click upsells if you use a regular paypal button. Even if you use the cart without upsells, the flow is different for paypal versus payment via CC. It's complex. We will certainly try to support it in a future release of dap cart. Not supported currently.

You will have to add the paypal button along with dap generated button directly to the sales page for now.

    Veena,

This seems to be an interesting problem. Can you clarify how the payment processing would be handled if, e.g., I have both a DAP-hosted Buy Now button and a PayPal-hosted Buy Now button on my product sales page? I am wondering if some of the settings I had to change to accommodate your hosted button will somehow interfere with the flow of PayPal-hosted processing. FWIW, I'd vote for this integration problem to be a fairly high priority. :-)

Both paypal hosted and dap generated paypal standard buttons will work on the sales page. DAP uses button level 'return' url and button level IPN so these buttons should not interfere with each other..
