automatic membership expiration emails
hi,
I would like to send automatic emails letting members know that their membership is due to expire soon. It would would be ideal if they would be notified 1 week in advance, and perhaps 1 day before their membership expires.
They are NOT on a subscription, their membership would have to be renewed manually by the member.
Is this possible?
thanks.

Re: automatic membership expiration emails
Jason,
You cannot automate it currently. If you want to send email to users whose access is about to expire, you can do so manually via broadcast.
On the Email Broadcast page, there is a "Users of product... who are ... about to expire" option.
Currently there is no way to do it as an autoresponder where the email is automatically dripped to users a few days before their access expires.. but it's coming soon.
We will be supporting this feature in dap 4.4. or 4.5.

Re: automatic membership expiration emails
I could achieve your needs in a creative way and alreadyachieved it since dap version 4.1.
My suggestion, Just create a series of email template for expiry notification and set it to drip in mailresponder for 20 days, 25 days, and 28 days in your products. Then members will get notice of renewal in subsequence 3 days before the expiration of 30 days.
After that make same email template to drip in mailresponder for 50 days, 55 days and 58 days. In other words you would have to write 6 general renewal email template and drip it according to your needs.
In my situation I have 8 months membership cycles. So I have created 24 renewal email template to achieve my needs.
Hopefully it will help.
Moreover, in dap 4.3, just used the shortcode to show notice of renewal in frontpage after members logged in.

Re: automatic membership expiration emails
I set up emails to drip like this at 2 weeks and 1 week out. However, I found that when members renew EARLY, that because this is set up as a drip, they were still getting the "you need to renew" message even though they had already done it. This created too much need for customer support so I disabled the email drip. Looking VERY forward to having this feature set up based on the ACCESS END DATE -- glad to hear it's coming!
