    Can't connect to Pop/Imap Server

    Getting this error :

    ==========================================
    Subject: [DAP] YOURSITE.com: Can't connect to Pop/Imap Server:
    Sent: May 24, 2012 11:11 PM

    Connection failed to mail.yoursite.com,143: Connection timed out

    ==========================================

    This error indicates that you have dap-emailorder.php cron running once every hour in your webhost cpanel => Cron tab.

    That cron job (dap-emailorder.php) is ONLY needed if you use 1shoppingcart (1sc) as your shopping cart. If not, pls remove that cron. You will only need dap-cron.php.
    You need dap-emailorder.php cron ONLY if you use 1sc. Otherwise do not set dap-emailorder.php cron in your webhost cpanel -> cron scheduler / tab.

    Thanks,

    Hi Veena

    Are you saying this error is fine if we do need dap-emailorder.php cron running? I don't want to keep getting these emails but we are using 1sc...

    Thanks

    Mandy,

    If you are using 1sc to sell recurring products, and want to automatically extend users access in dap upon each recurring payment via 1sc, you do need the dap-emailorder.php cron.

    If you are getting the errors above, it indicates that you have not integrated 1sc -> dap for recurring processing.

    Pls see:

    Thanks Veena, I'll go back through those instructions again now I know those messages shouldn't be coming through!

    Just an update in case anyone else is getting this error message and are certain that the settings are correct... Make sure your previous hosting account isn't still trying to run the cron after everything else has been moved away! Doh!
