    Wordpress DAP 4.0 and BuddyPress

Without going thru a bunch of trial and error - has anyone setup Buddypress/bbpress with DAP/WordPress?

    Shortcuts/Suggestions?

BuddyPress adds the dhtml toolbar/banner to the top of the wordpress blog with a link to the standard wordpress login page. This bypasses the DAP login widget. Is the DAP login widget required? or can dap registered users use the standard WP login?

You need to use the DAP login and disable the WP/buddypress/bbpress direct login. Only if you use single-entry point via dap login, the user will be automatically logged into WP and forum.

Do you have to disable the buddypress to wp syncing?

Do you have to do both the config adv change and disable buddypress to wordpress sync also?

If you allow users to update their buddypress profile directly, but disable the buddypress to wp syncing, then whatever buddypress userprofile elements the users update, it will not be sync'd to WP.

I think it's ok to allow BP -> WP syncing, just do not allow users to update their email / password directly in bp profile. Have the users update their email/password in their dap profile that way dap can sync it to WP and then single login between dap /wp / bp will work.

Veena thanks for the quick reply. But now when I try to log in to DAP through my dashboard it says permission denied. I am learning as i go. Thanks for your help. I think I have done what you said but it still won't let me login with dap login. Any suggestions?
