Want to prevent users from taking your courses until they complete the prerequisites? You can easily set this up using DAP! <\/p>\n

Step 1: Find the course<\/strong><\/em><\/h1>\n

Visit  your DAP Admin >> Products >> Courses page. <\/p>\n

Find the course for which you want to set prerequisites. <\/p>\n

Click on the ‘prerequisite’ button.<\/p>\n

Step 2: Setup the prerequisite rules<\/strong><\/em><\/h1>\n

When you click on the prerequisite button, it’ll bring up a popup like this.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Select the prerequisite courses.<\/p>\n

2. If users try to access course content without completing the prerequisites, you can configure DAP to intercept and either display an error message or redirect to an error page.<\/p>\n

You can configure this in step-2. You can redirect to an error page or just have DAP replace the course content with an error message. The message that’s displayed is fully customizable.<\/p>\n

3. Save settings.<\/p>\n

Step 3: Member dashboard<\/strong><\/em><\/h1>\n

If you send users to a member dashboard page created using DAP’s member engagement builder, you can configure it to display the courses that the users are not allowed to start yet (based on prerequisites), in a locked state. Everything on this page is fully customizable. <\/p>\n

When users login and visit the member dashboard, they’ll find a list of all the courses – enrolled, in-progress, completed, not enrolled, etc.<\/p>\n

The courses that they have enrolled-in but can’t start yet, will be grayed out. They can click on the check prerequisite button to see a list of courses they need to complete first.<\/p>\n

You can configure the message that should be displayed when they click on the ‘check prerequisite’ button. <\/p>\n
