Today I’m super thrilled to announce the beta <\/strong><\/em>release of DAP v6.0 <\/strong>and LiveLinks v3.0<\/strong>!<\/p>\n \u00a0The release includes a completely revamped <\/em><\/strong>DAP Admin >> Products page interface!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The new Products Page is user-friendly, modern, elegant & intuitive. \u00a0Going forward, you’ll enjoy the process or creating new products and managing existing products in DAP :).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Be sure to watch the video above to see what the issues were in the older versions and how we’ve addressed each one of those issues in the new version. \u00a0I’ve tried to cover everything in detail in this video.\u00a0<\/span>You’ll also find a whole bunch of new features in the products page.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n From better documentation to responsive, clean and modern interfaces, we’re very proud of this release!<\/span><\/p>\n Please note that this is a beta\u00a0release of DAP v6.0 and LiveLinks v3.0.<\/p>\n DAP v5.6.3 and Livelinks v2.6.5 is now FINAL!<\/strong><\/p>\n If you’ve a busy\/live site, we recommend that you wait until v6.x release is final. Do not upgrade yet.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n We often receive tickets from DAP users wanting to know how to prevent member login session<\/em> from timing out after 20-30 minutes of inactivity. While the timeout issues are NOT caused by DAP (it’s controlled by your webhost’s php session settings), we’ve created a few options for you in this release that will allow you to prevent frequent timeouts.<\/p>\n You can configure a “cookie timeout limit” in dap so you can have your users logged-in as long as you want!<\/p>\n There are two ways DAP manages logins:<\/p>\n Session-based (default):<\/u><\/span><\/strong><\/u>Uses are going to be logged-in as long as the session is active. Now, sessions are at server level and the ‘timeout’ setting for session is controlled by the php setting on your server. DAP cannot control it. Generally php sessions time out after 20-30 minutes of inactivity.<\/p>\n So if you want the ‘session idle timeout’ changed, you’ll have to contact your webhost and see if they can do that for you.<\/p>\n Cookie-based:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n If your users check the “remember me” box when they login, DAP will use “Cookies” instead of “Session” and it should prevent frequent logout issues as the cookie duration is set to 14 days<\/em> by default.<\/p>\n But most users don’t check the ‘remeber me’ box during login and also, currently there’s no way to configure \/ change the cookie duration or\u00a0 force a cookie-based login managament.<\/p>\n In DAP v6.0, we’ve added a couple of options that will allow you to set a ‘cookie timeout’ duration (in days) and also allow you to force <\/em>a cookie based login.<\/p>\n All you to do is ftp to your site, edit \/dap\/dap-config.php file and add this to dap-config.php file:<\/p>\n \/\/ always use cookie for login <\/strong>define(‘ALWAYSUSECOOKIEFORLOGIN’,”Y”);<\/p>\n \/\/cookie duration set to 1 day<\/strong>define(‘REMEMBERMEDURATION’,’1′);<\/p>\n We recently released a one-of-a-kind<\/em> “multiple order bumps<\/strong>” feature! It’s designed to help you increase your sales with minimum effort!<\/p>\n Your users can add one or more of your order bumps with the tick of a checkbox and purchase all your products at once. So stay tuned!The next DAP update will include a new automation engine<\/strong> (including a one-of-a-kind visual <\/strong>automation builder) that will allow you to easily connect DAP with Zapier as well as other external autoresponder platforms with a few button clicks. No need to manually enter plugin notification string or find your list id etc. You can also send comma-separated list of tags to your email platform.
