PS: Oh, and don’t be shy…. feel free to send us some comment-love below!
Though I don’t see them in the change log but just confirming, are there any updates moving from 3.8 beta to the final release?
Thanks
Ankur
Gotta say each update to this script keeps taking DAP to such a higher level! I love these features especially:
1) custom default password
2) default affiliate landing page
3) product chaining
These specifically help address a couple of the
logistical challenges that come up with an
increasingly complex membership site.
Thanks Ravi and Veena!
Bob
p.s. Can’t wait to see you in Baltimore in
September!
I have to say that I am very impressed with your level of service and dedication to this product. I feel like you are definitely on my team!
These look great. Question on the affil landing page? Can there be more than one affil landing page per user? Is there a limit?
I know we are never satisfied, but do you have a premlinary list of the features for the next release? I’m really looking forward to HMTL email, variable length protected content, etc.
I love DAP and it flexibility but I still do not like the way it handles email. My email reliability is terrible. I just wish I had a way to see a log of the emails being sent to have an idea of why some emails do not get delivered. I’m suspecting a need for a dedicated MTA to allow for queuing of outbound mail messages but havent had the time to work on it.
I was wondering was anyone else has experienced with delivery success rate for login emails and emails from dap.
Jeff:
Yes, HTML email is on our list for DAP 3.9. We will be sending out a broadcast with the list of features that we have shortlisted for DAP 3.9.
Bob, Chris,
Thanks for your support 🙂
Ankur:
There are some updates/fixes in the final version which are not part of beta. Please download the final version.
I learned about your product from a former employer. I am thinking of using this if I already have my own info products.
Thank you so much for your dedication to this software, Veena and Ravi! I am thrilled with the additions that you have made in this version (a couple of them really speak directly to what I needed), and so excited to see that HTML email is shortlisted for v3.9. I can honestly say that DAP is the very best piece of software I’ve come across as I’ve been putting my (very complicated) business together, and that your attention to detail and communication follow-up is stellar! Thank you so, so much!
Veena and Ravi correct me if i’m wrong, the new merge code %%PRODUCT_DETAILS_%% can be used to drip specific product links on a specific page?
For example all links of product 1 will drip on mysite.com/product1 if the merge code is embedded on that page. Correct?
I meant this code:
%%PRODUCT_DETAILS_%%
P.S. Veena in version 3.9 please please please do something for the forum integration as we discussed in my numerous support tickets 😛
Marc:
DAP integration with VBulletin is on the top of 3.9 feature list.
In Vbulletin, you can create various usergroups each with it’s own defined role/permission to the forums. Within DAP admin panel, you can setup rules (just like product chaining) to automatically add users that purchase a particular product to a specific usergroup / forum in VB or remove access from the usergroup/forum if a user loses access to a product.
As far as bbpress is concerned, for now you can use a WP plugin (ex – “private forums”) to limit forum view/read access to just forum members.
Hopefully we can extend DAP -> BBPress integration to restrict access to forum based on membership level with DAP 4.0.
Molly,
Thanks! We appreciate your support.
Veena, that’s great!
Could you please answer to my previous question about the %%PRODUCT_DETAILS_id%% code?
Thanks 😀
Marc,
The %%PRODUCT_DETAILS_id%% is slightly complicated and requires more documentation. Which is why we haven’t made a big deal about it.
Please open a ticket and we’ll give you more details before we announce it publicly.
Lisa,
>>These look great. Question on the affil landing page? Can there be more than one affil landing page per user? Is there a limit?< < There is no limit. Your affiliates can append any link to the end of their normal affiliate link, and that will become a landing page. Like... http://YourSite.com/dap/a/?a=1234&www.anysite.com/anypage.html
Marc,
Sorry, I shouldn’t have said %%PRODUCT_DETAILS_id%% is “complicated”. It isn’t. Quite simple actually.
I was actually thinking about yet another feature (a “Product Links” widget feature), which is just slightly complicated – not to setup, but to explain 🙂
Here’s the documentation for the fairly simple “Product-Specific Details” feature:

Just a quick note to say thanks for such great support. It is a welcome change to have people who genuinely want to help!
As a request… WP Pages… Only have the pages appear to the user when they become available on drip feed.
I run a 12 month program and users can see all 12 pages… can’t access them till the correct time of course.
It would just look so much nicer if they were not visible to everyone
For next release can we get coupon or discount codes, pretty please 🙂
Hi Ravi,
Thanks again for a great update. The default password is a killer feature because it allows me to shift all follow-ups to Aweber and removes two steps from my member’s sign-up path.
Can I request that future versions move away from the hardcoded formatting on the products and member info pages?
The tables/cells could quickly be given classes and formatted in the stylesheet so that the DAP users who are happy with the format won’t be affected, but if anybody wants to change the look they can do without having to directly edit DAP’s files.
Another advantage is that upgrades wouldn’t replace all the modified code because formatting could be held in the WP theme’s stylesheet rather than the DAP files.
Yes this stems from me accidentally overwriting my carefully crafted custom index.php! 🙂
The great thing about DAP is the rapid development, but currently I find myself putting off upgrades because I’m anxious about losing formatting.
Thanks for your great support,
Pavl
Default passwords is perfect!! This can help me out a great deal too! I wish I would have known about it sooner.
Another great feature would be to simply allow users to choose their own passwords. This way users will know the password whether the email gets delivered or not.
I’m with @Joe on user creating pswd. That is a good feature to have. We do a lot of report give-aways and this would really lower the abandonment rates, I believe.
Is there an upgrade process that must be followed or do we just upload new files and overwrite?
Any plans for a dynamic Add-to-cart like this:
http://www.rap-tools.com/addtocart/
It would be awesome to be able to automate price rises based on the number of sales to heighten scarcity.
>> Is there an upgrade process that must be followed or do we just upload new files and overwrite? < < Unless you made changes to any of the core dap files, you can upload new files and overwrite existing files. If you made changes to core dap files, then make sure you take a full backup of /dap and /wp-content/plugins/dap-wp-livelinks folder before you upgrade dap. After you upgrade, you will have to incorporate the changes you had made to the core dap files to the latest version. http://www.digitalaccesspass.com/doc/upgrading-to-latest-version-dap/
