DAP Pay: 1-Click Member’s Area Upsells
5 years ago, in 2009, DAP was the very first membership plugin to include a powerful shopping cart with support for 1-Click Upsells.
1-Click Upsells are where a buyer enters their credit card just once during checkout, and then you present them with additional upsell offers, and they can buy one or more of those upsells with just 1 single click of the mouse. Their credit card would be instantly charged for that upsell, without their having to enter their credit card and billing information all over again.
3 years ago, in 2011, we revolutionized Upsells yet again with our Paypal Upsell-Tree Plugin, which lets you do upsells with just a regular, Paypal standard account. Once again, this was an industry first for a membership plugin at the time.
1 year ago, in 2013, we took payment automation up another notch, by adding features that let you cancel member subscriptions from within the DAP Admin back-end, without having to log in to the payment processor’s web site. And similarly, your members could also cancel their own subscriptions from right within the member’s area, saving the both of you the hassle of creating and responding to a support request.
And today, we’re thrilled to announce that with the upcoming release of DAP 4.7, we’re once again taking Upsells to a whole new level.
Dripped 1-Click Upsells
You have just come out with a new product. You send out an email to your existing members announcing the launch, and in the email, you give them a link to sign up at a special launch price.
Your members click on the link, log in to the member’s area, read your sales page and are ready to click on the buy button on that page.
Now this is no ordinary button.
Right below the button, it says “No need to enter your credit card information. Just click once to get instant access“.
They click on this special button, and instead of seeing the usual checkout page, they are instantly greeted by a “Thank you for purchasing this product – click here to access this course”.
And boom, the sale is done!
Yes, you read that right. They did NOT have to re-enter their credit card information, or be redirected to Paypal or be forced to log in to their Paypal account.
All it took for them to purchase your product, was just ONE… SINGLE… CLICK.
1 single click even though the last time they paid you was maybe weeks – or even months ago.
We’re calling this super-powerful upsell technology, “DAP Pay”.
With DAP Pay, you can present new offers to members right within the member’s area. And these aren’t just for upsells. You can use DAP Pay to sell new products, product renewals, or even membership renewals and upgrades. And you can publish these special buy buttons on ANY member page. And even if someone has already been a member for weeks or months, they can still purchase your new product or membership upgrade with just 1 single Click, without having to re-enter all of their credit card or billing information.
Combine DAP-Pay with the original DAP 1-Click Upsells, and you can now do 2 types of Upsells:
1) Instant 1-Click Upsells made right at the time of their first-time purchase, and
2) Dripped 1-Click Upsells: You can send offers to your members weeks or months later, and they can log in to the member’s area, click on a button, and instantly purchase the product or service you’re offering, without having to check out all over again.
Card Security & PCI Compliance
DAP Pay is also extremely secure and PCI Compliant, as DAP does not store any sensitive customer credit card or billing information on your servers.
All payment information is stored only on Stripe’s own highly secure servers, and DAP interacts with Stripe only via their official API’s, and never comes into contact with any of the payment information directly.
DAP Pay currently supports only Stripe at this time. Support for more payment processors like Authorize.net is coming in a future release.
But if you’re using Stripe, then DAP offers everything you need to maximize your sales right at the time of the initial purchase, as well as for future new products and upgrades.
DAP Pay Is Free
This feature will be FREE to all current DAP users and will be included as part of the upcoming DAP v4.7.
As you probably already know, to download the latest version of DAP, the previously announced DAP Doctor, and the new DAP Pay (this post), your access to DAP upgrades and Support needs to be current.
