Course Prerequisites!
Want to prevent users from taking your courses until they complete the prerequisites? You can easily set this up using DAP!

Step 1: Find the course
Visit your DAP Admin >> Products >> Courses page.
Find the course for which you want to set prerequisites.
Click on the 'prerequisite' button.
Step 2: Setup the prerequisite rules
When you click on the prerequisite button, it'll bring up a popup like this.
1. Select the prerequisite courses.
2. If users try to access course content without completing the prerequisites, you can configure DAP to intercept and either display an error message or redirect to an error page.
You can configure this in step-2. You can redirect to an error page or just have DAP replace the course content with an error message. The message that's displayed is fully customizable.
3. Save settings.
Step 3: Member dashboard
If you send users to a member dashboard page created using DAP's member engagement builder, you can configure it to display the courses that the users are not allowed to start yet (based on prerequisites), in a locked state. Everything on this page is fully customizable.
When users login and visit the member dashboard, they'll find a list of all the courses - enrolled, in-progress, completed, not enrolled, etc.
The courses that they have enrolled-in but can't start yet, will be grayed out. They can click on the check prerequisite button to see a list of courses they need to complete first.
You can configure the message that should be displayed when they click on the 'check prerequisite' button.
That's it!
